Thyroxine Apex 0.4mg Tablets for Dogs and Cats discontinued

Thyroxine Apex 0.4mg Tablets for Dogs and Cats (100 tablets) has been discontinued and will be replaced by Forthyron Flavoured Tablets (100 tablets) by Dechra.

While the medications are bioequivalent and the dosing remains the same, Forthyron is not a direct replacement Thyroxine by Apex so we recommend talking to your vet before switching from one medication to the other.

Additional information about Forthyron:

  • Forthyron is available in two strengths, 0.2mg (200mcg) and 0.4mg (400mcg)
  • Forthyron is flavoured tablet while Thyroxine Apex is not
  • Forthyron comes in a blister pack for ease of dispensing
