Zylkene Capsules are a complementary feed designed to help cats and dogs manage stressful situations. Zylkene contains a natural product derived from casein, a protein in milk, that is well known to promote the relaxation of newborns after breastfeeding. Zylkene is palatable and easy to give: simply mix with food or give the whole capsule. It can be given daily and is both preservative and lactose free.

  • Zylkene Capsules contain a palatable, water soluble powder that appeals to both dogs and cats
  • Zylkene Capsules can be given whole or can be opened and the powder mixed with food, treat or liquids
  • Water should be available at all times
  • As Zylkene is taken orally, it is present wherever the pet goes, both inside and outside the house

Since its launch Zylkene has become a familiar product for veterinarians, behaviourists, nurses and pet owners world wide. It helps pets cope when facing unusual and unpredictable situations and can be used before occasions such as a change in their normal environment.

When to use Zylkene

Zylkene can help support dogs and cats in situations where they find they need to adapt their behaviour to cope. These can include kennel and cattery stays, moving house, the arrival of a new pet or baby, sudden noises such as fireworks, travel or festivities. Many cats do not cope well in a multi-cat household, so Zylkene can help with the introduction of a new cat.

Zylkene is easy to give in one daily intake. The capsules contain a palatable, water soluble powder that appeals to both dogs and cats. They can be given whole or opened and the powder mixed with food, treats or liquids. Since Zylkene is taken orally and ingested, it is present wherever the pet goes, both inside and outside the house. Water should always be available to your pet.

Zylkene comes in three strengths:

  • Zylkene Capsules 75mg (30 capsules)
  • Zylkene Capsules 225mg (30 capsules)
  • Zylkene Capsules 450mg (30 capsules)

Dosage Guide

For short term use: Begin administration 1-2 days before the predicted event or change in environment. Some animals may need earlier administration (5-7 days).

For long term use: Start giving Zylkene for one month then reassess the pet. Association with a behaviour modification program may help in these situations.

I highly recommend this product. If you have an anxious furbaby, these tablets defiantly help. Even if you're moving, these tablets are a good temporary measure to help keep your fur family member as calm as they can.
I would also say to keep a eye on your animals sleeping habits, it took us a few months to find a good balance but, now we have, it's even better :)

    Zylkene 75mg

Our vet recommended this product to help our elderly dog stay calm during Queensland's storm season. He still has a fearful reaction but settles down much more quickly once the storm has passed. I think it's well worth the money.

    Zylkene 75 mg

I've given this 4 stars as it's early days - I may have to review to 5 stars if improvements continue. I have a multi pet household which includes a very anxious 6 y.o. cat whose behaviour deteriorated after a short stay in boarding. I tried this product on the suggestion of my vet. So far it seems to be working. My cat is much more settled and is interacting with the household instead of just hiding.
    Pretty happy so far!

Whilst you product is fantastic your courier service is total shit. Have been told I can pick the product in Welshpool. Quite a distance. What happened between 18th January & 11th February.

We have tried everything and finally have found a natural product that has allowed him to be serene , content, his appetite is back and he is not feeling like the world is collapsing on him .

A friend put me onto this product as my cat gets very anxious when being taken to the vet or cattery. She definitely seems to have taken to the medication no problem in her food, and I think she seems less anxious in general. She is going to cattery in a few days so that will be the big test, but so far a good result.

    Great for anxiety in pets

Posted by Shara Van Gool on 30th Jan 2021

I have been pleasantly surprised, I have given this to my highly anxious dog, a Pomeranian X chihuahua and my cat, it has only been a few days and already seeing results.

The changes aren't drastic but I can see positive changes in both pets since using this product.

I have two dogs, siblings, one has always had severe anxiety which worsened after a near fatal experience with a paralysis tick. My dog has since become more aggressive and more stressed than usual, however since taking zylkene, the aggression has ceased and he is relaxing a bit more (still anxious but back to normal pre tick incident).

I am going to purchase more and continue as it is good to see my little man reverting to his old self again.
