Select Size
3 pack (3 months)
6 pack (6 months)

Advocate Orange for small cats and kittens over 9 weeks of age and weighing up to 4kg is easy to use, monthly spot-on treatment that protects your cat from fleas, heartworm, major intestinal worms, lungworm and ear mites.

  • Protects against heartworm when used monthly
  • Kills fleas and prevents flea re-infestation for a month
  • Treats and controls major intestinal worms, including roundworm and hookworm
  • Treats and controls lungworm
  • Treats and controls ear mites

Please note that Advocate does not control tapeworms. For treatment of tapeworms you can use a worming specific treatment, such as Milbemax.

Advocate is Fast Acting

As well as killing adult fleas, Advocate kills flea eggs and larvae to break the flea life cycle and protect your cat from flea re-infestation for a whole month. It provides fast relief, stopping fleas from biting within 3 to 5 minutes of application and kills the adult fleas and larvae within 20 minutes.

Advocate and Ferrets

Advocate Orange can also be used for the monthly treatment and prevention of fleas, and the prevention of heartworm, in ferrets. The treatment of ferrets weighing less than 0.8kg should be based on a risk-benefit assessment by your veterinarian. Ferrets weighing less than 0.8kg can be safely treated for fleas with Advantage.

Safety Information

Advocate is safe for use in kittens from 9 weeks of age. Kittens under 9 weeks of age can safely use Advantage for flea control. Kittens also require worming at 6 and 8 weeks of age, for this you can use a specific worming product such as Milbemax.

The safety of Advocate has not been established in pregnant and lactating queens.

Due to the nature of prescription medication, we only dispatch orders containing pet medication via Autralia Post eParcel (Express Post) or Startrack Premium. This ensures that the important parcel arrives to you as quickly as possible and in the best possible condition. Shipping of any prescription medication items incurs a flat rate charge for shipping and processing of your order. For more information, please see our Delivery Policy page.

In-stock items ordered before 5pm on a weekday are generally dispatched the following business day. The dispatch of prescription medication orders is subject to having a valid original prescription on file. There can also be processing delays for prescription medication orders, depending upon demand and stock availability. For urgent medication orders, we recommend selecting our Priority Processing Service for $6.95, which will move your order to the front of the queue. Certain products cannot be returned to Pet Chemist, including but not limited to prescription medication, perishable products, and products that need to be stored at air conditioned temperatures. Prescription and other medications cannot be returned in compliance with state legislation. By law prescription medication cannot be re-sold after they have left the pharmacy premises. As such, refunds are not available for unused medicines once they have been supplied by the pharmacist and dispatched. Please take this into consideration when deciding on the quantity of medication to order, as orders of medication cannot be cancelled once they have been supplied by the pharmacist and dispatched. For more information, please see our Returns Policy page.

Unfortunately due to Australian regulations, Pet Chemist Pharmacy requires the original prescription to be on file prior to dispensing medication. If you only received your prescription via email from your vet, please let us know and we will contact your vet.

AutoShip is a convenient way to order your pet’s prescription medication as it automatically generates an order based on your pre-selected schedule. AutoShip medication orders require a valid original prescription to be on file. We also require a secondary confirmation that you have authorized us to dispense the medication.
