Important update regarding Solensia & Beransa products

Important update regarding Solensia & Beransa products

We want to inform our valued customers that as of 1st November 2024, the following products are no longer available through pharmacies, including Pet Chemist Online:

  • Solensia 7mg
  • Beransa Injection 10mg
  • Beransa Injection 15mg
  • Beransa Injection 20mg
  • Beransa Injection 30mg

This change has been implemented by Zoetis, the manufacturer of these medications, following consultation with the APVMA (Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority). While this isn’t a legal mandate, Zoetis now restricts the supply of these products exclusively to veterinary practices across Australia.

This means that even with a valid prescription, pharmacies are unable to dispense these medications. Instead, they must be obtained and administered directly by your veterinarian.

We understand this may cause inconvenience, and not all veterinary practices may be aware of these newly updated supply guidelines.

If you’re affected by this change, we encourage you to reach out to your vet to discuss ongoing treatment options for your pet.

We’re sorry for any disruption this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we adapt to these manufacturer-led changes. Your pet’s wellbeing is our top priority.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact our team to discuss further.
